Arts, Entertainment & the Culture of Cyberspace
We have a love for the arts, theatre and film!
We have a particular penchant for art, theatre and film that has anything to do with how all of THAT might relate to cyberspace; ergo cyberpsychology. Oh, and of course, how we might use film and the arts in our work with clients both online and in-person.
We seek out film and art that might offer a message to our audience- students of Online Therapy Institute/Online Coach Institute, readers of TILT Magazine~ Therapeutic Innovations in Light of Technology , and others who have a general interest regarding the impact of cyberspace on our culture..
We offer a column in each issue of TILT Magazine entitled Reel Culture. Each film review is written by Jean-Anne Sutherland, Ph.D. She is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and we love her words. Here are the highlights:.
- How Therapists and Academics Use Film in Their Work
- Depiction of Therapists in Film
- Scientology, Psychiatry and the Science of Documentary Making
- Cyberbullying: It’s Quick and it’s Easy
- Our Interdependent World: Tiffany Shlain’s Connected
For the following documentaries, we offered featured articles in TILT Magazine and interviewed the directors for the annual Counselor Educators in Second Life conference:.
We provided corporate sponsorship and contributed an essay to Gretta Louw’s Art Project, Controlling_Connectivity and followed up with a feature article.
