New Article about Avatar Therapy in The CAPA Quarterly

August 8, 2011 by Kate Anthony

CAPAWe recently wrote an article entitled Avatar Therapy for The CAPA Quarterly, the Journal of The Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of New South Wales Inc in Australia. The CAPA is the largest association of counsellors and psychotherapists in NSW.

The article offers the following sub-topics:

  • What is Avatar Therapy?
  • How and where is Avatar Therapy being used?
  • Necessary skills for the therapist
  • A Look to the Future

More and more we will see avatars and virtual world settings migrate into the psychotherapy consultation room and for counsellors, psychotherapists and mental health practitioners, conceptualizing this work will become increasingly important.
