Call for Research Participants

March 5, 2021 by Kate Anthony

“What a difference a face makes…The comparative experiences of face-to-face versus web-chat therapy for young adults, and its impact on the therapeutic alliance.”

Are you aged between 18 and 25?
Are you interested in young people’s mental health?
Have you had both face-to-face therapy AND web-chat therapy for at least 1 month each?*

If you answered yes to the questions above, then I would like to invite you to take part in research looking at how the mode of therapy affects the relationship between client and counsellor. You will be asked a series of questions about both therapy experiences lasting approximately an hour (either in person or via a Zoom meeting). These will be recorded and later analysed. The questions will solely be based your experience of the therapy, and you will not need to discuss the content of your therapy sessions unless you choose to do so.

*In the interests of safety, you will not be able to take part if you are still engaged in any therapy currently, or completed any therapy less than 2 months ago.

If you would like to take part in this research, or would like to find out more, please email me at u1605016@uel.ac.uk.

Thanks!
