New faculty at the Institute!

July 10, 2020 by Kate Anthony

The Online Therapy Institute is pleased to introduce you to our newest faculty member Anastasia Gire, an Integrative Psychotherapist based in Paris with 8+ years of online therapy experience (www.expatstherapy.com).

She was born and raised in Saint Petersburg (Russia), and, before moving to Paris, lived and studied in Italy, Great Britain and Spain. Her experience of evolving abroad, together with her multicultural marriage, makes her particularly sensitive to the sort of issues experienced by people living in a different country than that of their origin. Life away from home and family brings along quite specific psychological challenges. An expat herself, she is passionate about fellow travellers.

As a writer on mental health topics, Anastasia has been writing about her practice as an author and a blogger at www.psychotherapy.net.

She holds the European Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy and the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP). She is accredited the UKCP, EAIP, and FF2P.

She is currently finishing her doctorate (DPsych) at Metanoia Institute, London. Her research interests evolve around clinical work with displaced individuals and practicing relational therapy online.

The Online Therapy Institute is pleased to expand our tutor team during busy times in line with current interest in and necessity of introducing distance methods of practice during the COVID19 pandemic. If you have yet to upskill to meet BACP competencies for working online, please take a moment to look at how we can help you at https://kateanthony.net/online-training/. As the pandemic continues it is likely that distance counselling and psychotherapy will feature in your future, so it’s worth getting the learning under your belt now.

If you are looking for a safe ethical platform from which to practice there is a new UK based E clinic called problemshared.net, for whom I am Head of Clinical Ethics. We are currently recruiting practitioners at generous rates of pay in running your own online business. Individual and organisational packages are available.
