We are proud to announce that OTI trainings – both face-to-face and online – are now endorsed by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). BACP are the largest professional organisation in the UK, with nearly 33,000 members. BACP has a broad and diverse membership. It is keen to help all types of practitioners, managers, service co-ordinators, trainers and other professionals – from newly qualified to Senior Accredited Members – maintain and develop their professional competence.
BACP Endorsement shows that Online Therapy Institute’s activities are relevant to the professional development of counselling and/or psychotherapy professionals, at a level appropriate for the target group, and are designed and organised in a manner consistent with achieving the stated aims and objectives.
We are the first online training for online therapy and other use of technology in mental health to receive endorsement by BACP, and very proud to announce it. Now our trainings are endorsed for Continuing Professional Development in the UK, similar to our accreditation for continuing education in the U.S. Several short modules are available as well as Certificate courses. Short modules are self-directed and our Certificate courses are facilitated by DeeAnna Merz Nagel and Kate Anthony, co-founders of OTI.
On successful passing of the entire training, trainees are offered the Online Therapy Institute’s training logo for use on websites to indicate they have passed extensive training as an online therapist. Our courses are accredited for Continuing Education. In-person trainings and tailored options are also available.
