The Forum offers a more indepth look at topics that we discuss in other groups and on our blog. The Forum also offers
a place to staff cases in a secure and encrypted environment. Consider joining OTI
if you have a service or product to sell that matches our mission. Perhaps you are an online therapist, coach or educator.
You might have a product to sell that would enhance an online therapist's work. Members receive a listing in the
directory which offers links to hundreds of websites in 30 categories. Consider joining
OTI if you are a professional who desires a place to collaborate about topics related to online therapy, cyberpsychology,
social networking, peer support or internet addictions. Meet with others who have a passion for understanding how technology
impacts mental health.
Your membership includes the following: ◊ Access to the secure and encrypted Online Therapy Institute Member Forum featuring several topics including peer supervision* moderated by Kate Anthony and
DeeAnna Merz Nagel. ◊ Resource listing**
for blogs, services and products that are related to online therapy, the impact of technology on mental health, internet
addiction and other cyberpsychology topics in the Online Therapy Directory. ◊ Updates via email
announcements about continuing education opportunities face to face, online and in Second Life. ◊ Use of Online Therapy Institute Member Logo on member

To join, please fill out a membership
application. The application is so that we may assign your forum login and list
your resource. You will be classified as either a clinical member or a professional member. After you fill out the application you will be prompted to pay for your membershp through Google Checkout.
OTI offers many resources to professionals and the public that are
free of charge. A paid membership is not necessary to join the OTI Social Network, access the OTI Bookstore or
Directory, or read and comment on our Blog. The Online Therapy Institute also hosts a discussion group at Links for
Shrinks and Linkedin.
*Peer supervision is available to mental
health clinicians and practitioners who conduct counseling via distance technology or face-to-face. Practitioners must be
either licensed or certified to practice independently in their jurisdiction or country. If no license or certification
is applicable in your country and you are able to practice independently, please indicate this on your membership application.
We request a minimum of a Masters degree/Diploma (post bachelor level/graduation training) even if a license or certification
is not required in your country.
**Websites offering online counseling/therapy
services must meet the following standards: encryption for email, chat and VOIP services, emergency information
on the home page, contact information for the clinician, education and if applicable, license or certification verification
information for the clinician and client access to informed consent/terms and conditions.
