Our Ethical Framework for the Use of Technology in Mental Health is based on the work of various organisations such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the International Society for Mental Health Online, the American Counseling Association, EthicsCode.com and the National Board of Certified Counselors. Furthermore, we have adapted it for specific areas of mental health provision online such as Disaster Relief, EAP work, Coaching, Social Networking and Career and School Guidance, with further fields in the pipeline.

Online Therapy Institute receives daily inquiries from organizations, individual practitioners and corporations requesting that we participate in a demonstration of a product or application. We love that we are privy to so many new and dynamic products, services and possibilities.
Our job is to help you know what we look for in potential partners- that you would know whether or not your product or service is one that we would recommend. That is why we created our Get Verified service. When you decide to embark on becoming verified you will begin the process by reading through our checklist documents to be sure what you offer and the way you offer your product or service fits our Get Verified criteria which is based on our Ethical Frameworks. When you fill out the application, we thoroughly review your website, product, service and/or platform. At that point we often ask for a demonstration or walk-thru privileges as applicable.

You may have a website that fits into more than one category. Or you may have two websites under the same business name.
