Secure Encrypted Chat
Securing electronic communications over the Internet is more important today than ever before. Ensuring the privacy and security of communications is equally as important as submitting encrypted personal and credit card information during eCommerce transactions. While the page you see here does not show https: in the browser address, the actual chatroom is secure and encrypted. Once you login, you will receive a notice that states you are connected with a secure connection and you will see a padlock and Security Tab.
- Messages submitted and received through the Online Therapy Institute’s chat room are encrypted using a Secure Socket Layer (controlled by ParaChat).
- The applet class files are downloaded from a secure web server (secure applet code provided by ParaChat; implemented by OTI on the OTI website).
Online Therapy Institute utilizes Parachat for our secure and encrypted chat room. Parachat is Mcafee Secure.
